From the AP, this article describes a sale on used iBooks that went horribly wrong:

Seventeen people were injured when a rush to purchase $50 used laptops turned into a violent stampede yesterday, with people getting thrown to the pavement, beaten with a folding chair and nearly driven over.

and

One woman went so far as to wet herself rather than surrender her place in line.

and

People threw themselves forward, screaming and pushing each other. A little girl’s stroller was crushed in the stampede. Witnesses said an elderly man was thrown to the pavement, and someone in a car tried to drive through the crowd.

Yep. That’s Mac users for ya. Here’s a nice, crisp response:

ahh.. but these people weren't Mac users…

They were desperate to become Mac users.

You guys must be missing the absolute best quote in the article, which I held in reserve:

"It's rather strange that we would have such a tremendous response for the purchase of a laptop computer — and laptop computers that probably have less-than-desirable attributes," said Paul Proto, director of general services for Henrico County.

Yeah, like having to run the MacOS?

Your superficial opinions of linking these poor fanatical people who must obviously lack the money to buy a generic pc box knockoff at walmart with mac loyalty is pathetic. No one can dispute your right to your opinions and to express them with a blog, but to carry such a low opinion of others misfortune while your claiming to bask in the light of Jesus is a great disservice to the humanity and compassion of Christ. In my opinion your much too immature to be proclaiming to know the gospel and living in the image of Christ Jesus. You should do what you do best (slandering people) and stop polluting the christian image.

You've got to be kidding. You don't see that in the ongoing marketing "dialogue" between PC users and Mac users, this is shake-your-head-in-exasperation crazy, odd, and strangely funny?
