I’m sitting at one of the local coffee shops doing my sermon prep on Nehemiah 11-12, and at the table next to me are 4 of the local policemen. These guys are absolutely hilarious. It makes Supertroopers tame by comparison.

Just before they got up to leave, their dispatcher calls over their walkie-talkie radios and they turn it up. Somebody has called 911 to report “a wild deer frolicking in the street”. These guys just bust out laughing. They call dispatch back to confirm that it is, in fact, a “wild deer”, as opposed to many of the pet deer that they run into every day.

Then they call the officer who has to respond to the call on his cell phone and tell him to be careful of the “frolicking”, and to keep an eye out for a Disney Princess nearby.
