Ordinary Attempts

I spent some time today battling RealPlayer while I was looking at Off The Map‘s website. Weird video issues, but in any case, I like their approach to relational evangelism – simple, easy, very much relational and process-oriented. It’s very much like servant evangelism, in that it’s nonconfrontational and can be done by anybody.

One thing I realized when reading through their materials is that I need to lead from the pulpit in this area – I need to intersperse nuggets from my conversations with seekers into my discussions with those in my church. It’s got to be a public process for all of us.

Oh, yeah. Gods & Generals was fascinating. I don’t know Civil War History, so that made the story a bit hard to follow at the detail level – but the exploration of faith by the leaders on both sides of the War was really, really well done. Great work on leadership too.
