I just finished watching a fantastic documentary that I want to recommend to you. http://bicycledreamsmovie.com/is a story about the Race Across America or RAAM. This is a bicycle race from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast, first rider in wins. This year’s race was San Diego to Atlantic City, 3100 miles, and the winner took barely over 9 days to do the ride. That’s more than 300 miles a day at race pace, riding solo with a support team. ‘Tough’ doesn’t even begin to describe the riders.

The film is beautiful. Cinematography is excellent, the interviews and backstories are well done, and the emotional impact of the tragedy and challenge of the race is deep.  It’s among the best documentaries I’ve ever seen.

If you are a fan of cycling, or endurance sports, or human interest stories, watch this one.

It’s not currently available on Netflix, but Amazon has it as does the King County library system.
