For my upcoming trip following the Orthodox Trail, I’m arriving in Istanbul (Turkey) a couple days before class starts, and flying out via Athens (Greece) after a few days there.

I need a place to stay in Istanbul from Saturday, 18 Oct through Monday, 20 Oct.  I also need a place to stay in Athens from Thursday, 30 Oct through Monday morning, 3 Nov.

Do you have contacts, family, friends or recommendations for places for me to look?  I’m trying to stay as cheaply as possible, and just need something reasonably safe for my luggage and laptop while I’m out exploring the cities with my camera.

Any tips you may have are greatly appreciated!
