Mt. Athos Greece – Holy Monastery of Simonos Petra (Simonopetra)

Well, a month away from my trip to Orthodox Christian lands, and it looks very doubtful that I’ll be able to spend a few days on Mt. Athos, the seat of Orthodox Christianity just off the coast of Thessaloniki. My timeframe will be too short; I made a travel booking mistake, and at this piont I’d be paying money I don’t have in hopes that I’d get a single day on Mt. Athos.

Perhaps it’s best to table this until a future trip, God willing.
