The Mustard Seed Associates’ regular ezine is out, this time on the topic of “Living Simply with Kids“.

I wrote an article that appears in there, and you’ll recognize many of the articles’ authors.

I wrote on some of the things we learned about simplicity when on our Montana vacation. If I could write it again, I’d write that our family is thinking hard about buying property east of the Cascades to eventually put a cabin on, or a vacation home / retirement home. A while ago we were looking for property in the Lake Cle Elum area, and I suspect we’ll try to find land somewhere around there again.

Ideally, we’d find something with a few acres, has trees, sunny summers, close to the water and trail systems, and an easy drive from North Bend. Friends in the past had a cabin in that area, and in the summer the family often stayed there frequently through the summer but would often commute in to the Eastside for work all week long.
