One of the crappy results of aging is that it becomes more and more clear what you will NOT be. I’ll never be an NBA point guard, or an NFL punter, or POTUS (thank God).

And it’s becoming more and more clear that I’ll never be a touring musician. But I can still help others live the dream. My friends who make up the Seattle band Pickwick are touring this month through the west coast, and they’re taking my wife’s Ford Expedition as the tour bus.

They also let me take pictures of them, so that’s cool.

If you live on the west coast and you like excellent handcrafted music that blends folk, alt, country, Americana, jamband rock, check out Pickwick. I have a blast every time I see them play live.

Here’s their myspace page. From there you can hear them and see their tour schedule. Check out a show, and tell the guys I said hi. Then tell me how you liked it.
