Pray for the Brothers & Sisters of Charity at Little Portion Monastery in Arkansas. They’ve had a fire that totally destroyed their Chapel and Common House. This is the Monastic Community that John Michael Talbot founded and where he lives. His post about the fire is here. Apparently no one was hurt, which is a very good thing.

John Michael Talbot has been a contemplative worship musician for decades, and the Little Portion monastery uses some Celtic monastic flavors, including having singles, married couples and families in their residential community.

Another new monastic community, The Simple Way in Philadelphia, also suffered a devastating fire just last June.
