Sometimes we play the game of “If Jesus were ministering today, where would we find him?”

Beyond any doubt I know that if Jesus were ministering today (which, of course, he IS), he would be in New Bedford Massachusetts, illuminating and demonstrating the Kingdom with people at and near a gay bar.

NEW BEDFORD, Massachusetts (CNN) — Police on Thursday are seeking a man in connection with a gun and hatchet attack at a gay bar in New Bedford, south of Boston. Three people were wounded in what authorities said they suspect were hate crimes.

I also find myself thinking that if I were planting a church in that area instead of mine, I would strongly consider seeing whether the bar in question were available for lease on a Sunday morning as a redemptive, restorative activity.
