The Iron Butt Rally is underway. This is a motorcycle endurance rally whose tagline is “11 days, 11,000 miles” – which is what the most competitive people in the rally will ride as they circumnavigate the USA and parts of Canada, looking for bonus locations in out-of-the-way locations.

I applied to ride the Rally this year but wasn’t chosen in the participants drawing. Hopefully next time, in ’07.
