I just entered 2003! (20gb HP iPod from Costco).
First 20 songs to come through shuffle after my intial load from the stuff I have ripped onto my laptop’s hard drive (which is now full, since Windows Media Player files have to be converted to iTunes’s format)

I’ve got to find out how to shift spoken word stuff (NT Wright lectures, podcasts, bible-on-cd tracks) to the “do not plan in shuffle mode” section. Anybody know how to do this?
I have to say this is a ton of fun, though some transitions are mind-jarring. Green Day -> Benedictine Monks is a good example of that…
