We ran into a lady at the grocery store yesterday whom we haven’t seen for a while. She was part of our church in the first year but when we moved our gathering times from Sunday night to the morning, she couldn’t make it anymore due to her work schedule. She’s a sweet, sweet lady, very grandmotherly.
Apparently recently she’d found out that she has some cancer and went through a surgery. Shannon and I asked if we could pray for her and did so briefly, there in the entryway of the store, and she was deeply touched that we’d do that. We’ll continue to keep her in prayer.
it’s the kind of ministry we encourage all our folks to participate in – keeping our eyes open for what God’s leading us to do anytime, anywhere, and expressing the love of Christ in simple ways.
