There’s a panel of people speaking to what they believe is coming soon.

One of the speakers, Richard Twiss of Wiconi International is right now doing the best 15-minute picture of modernity and postmodernity and missiology and shalom and the missio dei that I’ve ever seen done. Richard is a Lakota. If you take the best of the emerging church discussion and replace “emerging church” with “indigenous peoples”, and add “we first nations people are not your missions field; we are your coworkers in the Kingdom with unique creativity and skills to bring to the table”, you’ve now got Richard’s message. This is an extremely valuable insight.

I’ve got to hook up with this guy to thank him during a break or something.

He’s referencing Philip Jenkins’ Next Christendom… John 1:14 in the Message, Jesus moving into the neighborhood… missio dei and justice, cultural diversity, community, sending…
