Creative Juices

In the past few weeks – since returning from Columbus, actually, and especially since meeting with our church planting mentors last weekend – in which I feel a powerful sense of creativity flowing through me. That flow I recognize as the person of the holy spirit, and I’m seeing more why my friend Rachelle uses the pseudonym “the muse” for the same person.

In our case, I sense the Lord leading me deeper (MUCH deeper) into what it means for us to be incarnational::missional. Timely coaching from Rich & Rose Swetman and from Rick McDaniel are really helpful here.

I’m deep in the Frost & Hirsch book now, and will be blogging muchly more about that soon. We have a board meeting tomorrow night and I’m looking forward to bouncing ideas off the other couple on our board, and our leadership team is moving this direction as well.

[It should be noted that – much to the chagrin of my friend who’s planting an AoG church just down the street from me – our board meetings are characterized by food, beer, scotch and cigar smoke. It’s good to be in the Vineyard.]
