To-Do List

This is a theme that Rachelle writes on and has encouraged me to write on. In lieu of continuing to ignore things on my to-do list so I can blog, maybe I can cross-cultivate (contaminate?) here. Note, most of this is simply a cut-n-paste from the Word doc in which I keep my weekly goals and then cross none of them off for the next week. Obviously I’ve got way too much admin junk to do, much of which is in the process of being given to others who actually like doing such stuff.

My current to-do list:

Just finished up:

  • Finish updating Jan-Feb calendar on website so I can plan sermons, put together an event bulletin for attendees
  • Generate 2004 financial contribution statements
  • Write “thanks for being involved” letters for contribution statements
  • Update annual survey and cover letter
  • Schedule annual business meeting so it doesn’t conflict with Super Bowl party
  • Finalize loose agenda for core leaders meeting tomorrow after church and before the Indy-Pats game (one of our ladies would be peeved if she couldn’t watch the game. No, I’m not kidding here)
  • Still to-do today:

  • Call to find out final details on upcoming ladies’ breakfast and guys’ Xbox night from the folks leading them
  • Try to figure out the rest of the experiential piece for the creation story sermon tomorrow
  • My turn to watch Kaileigh so Shannon can study for Monday’s certification exam
  • Upcoming week:

  • Finalize handoff of bookkeeping to new owner
  • Finalize handoff of church member tracking data to new owner
  • Finalize handoff of birthday/anniversary/etc date uploads to website
  • Prepare a memorial service sermon for my grandfather
  • Edit & burn video from last fall’s family gathering/campout/pre-90th birthday party, hopefully in time to show it at memorial service. Not likely at this point.
  • Finalize plans with my roomie for the emergent convention (yeah, I get to go!). Register.
  • Finalize travel plans for EC. Am I going the cheaper/more fun/ballsier way, via motorcycle? Or the more spendy, weather-safe way: airplane>? Either way I get to see some old friends, and meet some new ones
  • Follow up on upcoming Nicaragua trip

Longer-term:

Commission redesign of our logo; communicate ideas to Ted.
Then Reprint important docs
Then Web layout redesign
