Highway 99 Blues

My wife and I had a nice date this evening – dinner along the water in Seattle, and then a set of electric blues at a new blues joint in Seattle: Highway 99 Blues Club. It’s only been open since August, and tonight was pretty sparsely attended, but the feel in the place is great, good sound, good visuals. It’s going to be one of the nicer upscale blues joint in Seattle.

I write this for three reasons:
1. I know some of you reading this are local folks, so I wanted to point you to a good spot to hang out.
2. It amazes me that whenefer I go see live music (which isn’t nearly often enough), I come away really wishing I had more time to play so that one day I’d be competent. Tonight I really got the fire to unpack my Strat and spend some time with it.
1. I’m really trying hard to blog everyday, and haven’t been up to speed lately 🙂
