This weekend, Dec 10-12, communities across the nation and around the world will be engaging in activities to raise public awareness about the horrific situation in Darfur. Though there’s nothing in the state of Washington that I can find, I’m asking you to join me in prayer for the people in and affected by the genocide in Sudan. Numbers vary between sources, but some 2 Million people have been deplaced as a result of this conflict, and international relief, police, resolve and conscience are essentially nonexistant.

I’m ordering a pack of these wristbands as well, just as a visible reminder that things are very, very wrong and that the situation should be noticed.
