We have a couple in our church in their early 60s (guessing) who’s been dealing with cancer for the past three months. Lori was diagnosed with a form of cancer about three months ago now. She was given six weeks of radiation five times a week plus six weeks of chemotherapy – and a 20% chance of cure even with treatment. We’ve prayed for her corporately quite a lot, and they certainly have been in my own prayers. I hate cancer. My dad died at 49 after a 7-year bout with that form of evil.
We just heard from Lou and Lori that their trip to the doctor’s office this week was fantastic – she’s been pronounced entirely cancer free!
These two pictures were taken the day after Lori’s last day of radiation therapy at Virginia Mason, when they drove to the beach and spun brodies in the sand in their Cadillac.

I’m having a hard time typing this – my eyes are welling up with joy.
