A friend of mine has been struggling lately with the loss of a loved one, and I realized that I haven’t been very available to him. So I spent some time hanging out, drinking his excellent homebrewed pilsner, and talking sports – nothing deep or obviously soul-transforming, but just what he needed, I think.
