As the worship leader in one of our home groups, I took the suggestion of our group leader to whittle down the home group worship setlist to about 20 tunes so that this group can learn them faster. I went through the 60-ish songs that Kyle and I had identified earlier as stuff we liked, or had in rotation. I selected the ones that seemed to be good for a small group and that get Sunday use also. I now have these:
1. All Who are Thirsty
2. Be the Centre
3. Beautiful [I haven’t tried this in a small group and don’t know yet if it’ll work.]
4. I can’t decide whether to keep in Blessed Be Your Name (Redman) – I love the song, but it might be too many lyrics for a small group…
5. Breathe
6. Dwell
7. Enough
8. Father of Lights
9. Famous One – Tomlin
10. Hallelujah (Shout to the Earth)
11. Here I Am to Worship
12. How Great is Our God – Tomlin
13. Holy – Brenton Brown
14. Holy Is the Lord (Tomlin/Giglio)
15. Let My Words Be Few
16. Lord Reign in Me
17. O Sacred King
18. Oh Lead Me
19. Surrender (James)
20. You Are My King -Doerksen
21. You Are My King (Amazing Love) – Foote
22. Your Love is Extravagant – Evans
23. Your Love Oh Lord
I haven’t tried making set lists from this group to see how they work together yet.
