A few quick notes after day 1 of our workshop on the healing ministry of Jesus in today’s world

I really value the way that Derk & Priscilla teach and lead. Very practical, humble, honest, funny. Very effective. Lots of good stories, all effective in illustration and building faith, but also very carefully chosen so as to remind us that doing the stuff that Jesus did is the main invitation of Kingdom life.

We have about 30 in attendance: 7 from our church; about 1/3 of the total from Vineyards in the surrounding are, and the other 2/3 from other churches in our valley. I’m extremely happy that we have such a broad array of people seeking to learn and experience more. I believe that we have 7 churches represented in this group: A charismatic church, a messianic Jewish house church, a community church, a native American Christian church, and three Vineyards of various flavors. Our heart was to be able to train and equip a broad variety of people to do the ministry of Jesus, and we’re well on the way.

In the prayer time at the end of the evening, one of the people to receive prayer was one of our worship leaders. He has a deviated septum, which makes it nearly impossible for him to breathe through his nose. In prayer, he felt his nose open up and become much more clear. We saw heat on him, and his nose began to run. On Saturday he reported still being able to breathe through his nose.
