Reinvigorating

On Wednesday we started a new home group. Led and hosted by Mike & Linda, who’ve been with us since before the beginning. Worship led by Jeff, who’s our regular Sunday djembe dude and fills in with vocals and guitar when our regular leaders are out. Attended by me and by Terry & Patty, new and searching in the faith. A targeted landing spot for several people who are just coming into the church community, one of whom is planning to look for a different Sunday experience but still come to this group to build relationship. Mike is leading us through a study on Romans. We have to start in a very foundational place because there are some in the group who don’t yet know who Paul is.

Last night at Alpha: Terry, who’s still seeking God to determine whether, put it, “I want to take this chapter of my life story and make it a more permanent addition, or whether it’s just too strange”. We’re talking about what it means to share faith. He mentions that his ongoing quest for a good giant-print Bible translation and publication has become a topic of office conversation, about which one of his longtime coworkers recently told him: “To things, Terry. 1. I’m proud of you. 2. Hell apparently has frozen over.”

This weekend we show our faces at the local festival. More to come.
