This is Taylor Robert Wells, who was born on the 10th anniversary of my father’s death. He’s less than a month old and already smiling like a wild man.

This is John Michael Loughery (“Jack”), born 4-24 to my cousin Bryce and his wife Cheryl.

New babies in the family are wonderful gifts of life. You can see the great-grandparents puffing with pride even from hundreds of miles away.

And here’s a new shot of Kaileigh, now almost 20 months old. She’s wearing the dress I bought her in the market in Managua.
