Today we had what for us is a massive turnout. It’s weird being a church planter. Two weeks ago we had three adults and three kids, today we have 24 total and we felt overwhelmed.
We’ve now officially got a new worship team in place (WOOOHOOOO!).
We had my next door neighbor join us also (heck, it only took 18 months of asking ;)). That was a very pleasant addition. This is the neighbors who lost a member of the family, and for whom I led the memorial service.
And, we had a young family rejoin us. They had hung out with us for a month or so when we first started last May, then they went back to their previous church, and it sounds as though we’ll see them more in the future.
We had two pretty big interpersonal conflicts that were confronted and in both cases made some progress towards resolution.
All in all, a good day.
Then I get home and get a phone call from one of the guys who has tickets to a Celtic music show as part of the local arts series, and he wants me to join him. Yummy. I’ll miss taking a nap, but it’s well worth it.
