The Lord has been reminding us lately that He’s doing something long-term with us. (and by us, I mean me, but also he may be speaking to others; I give him that permission 😉 JOKING!)

A couple of weeks ago, at our annual meeting, our worship leader spoke to us and reminded us of the story in Daniel 10, where Daniel has a dream, and the angel tells him that God heard him long ago, but the angel had been delayed for a while. It was a powerful reminder that more is happening in the spiritual realm that we can see.

This morning, I read this psalm again:

Psalm 105 (NIV)
11 “To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit.”

12 When they were but few in number,
few indeed, and strangers in it,
13 they wandered from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another.
14 He allowed no one to oppress them;
for their sake he rebuked kings:
15 “Do not touch my anointed ones;
do my prophets no harm.”

When I read it, I’m reminded that there are things happening in the Kingdom that are bigger and farther-reaching than I can see. It takes faith to trust that God is preparing something greater for us, even when we are but few in number.

But faith is about all we’ve got 🙂 I choose to believe that God is up to something special.

Psalm 27
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
