★ Eyes

Shannon and I had eye exams today. The doctor did the Evil Drops of Eye Confusion to us, I think it’s the pupil grower junk, I dunno. For the last 4 hours I’ve really wanted to be able to see clearly, especially things close to me. I can now read words about 2′ away, closer and I’m out of luck.

On a brighter note, I taught Kaileigh to say “Okie dokie”. It’s now my favorite party trick for her.

Gotta get some more reading done before 8, so we can make fun of the people on American Idol for the second night in a row. I don’t care who wins the thing, but the first week is absolutely hilarious. Don’t these people realize how awful their singing voices are? This effect is a byproduct of our “nobody fails” education system, I am convinced.

Or probably I’m just cranky because my eyes aged 72 years in the last hours, and I can’t even watch a movie from 15′ away on the TV. Otherwise I’d watch Fellowship of the Ring again since I just finished the book.
