As I’m praying this week (and a bit in the weeks before this one) about what God has for us this next year, I’m struck by a verse that caught my eye a month or two back as we were studying Ephesians:
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.– Ephesians 3:19 (NLT)
It’s really powerful to me. It speaks of understanding and experience, the overwhelming majesty of Christ’s love, Kingdom life that’s eternal here and now. Looks like I found my sermon topic for the first week of 2004.
